James Dowgin, O.D.

James Dowgin, O.D., graduated with distinction from Pacific University College of Optometry in 2021. During his education, Dr. Dowgin completed ocular disease management internships at Virginia Eye Consultants and Spokane VA Medical Center, as well as a primary care internship at the Chemawa Indian Health Clinic and Eye Center of Northern Colorado. While in school, Dr. Dowgin was the recipient of the Oregon Optometric Physicians’ Association Scholarship and the Drs. Dennis L. Smith and Nada J. Lingel Award for Excellence in Systemic Disease. He was also a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometry Honor Society. Dr. Dowgin also completed a residency in Ocular Disease with Omni Eye Specialists

Dr. Dowgin attended Carroll College in Helena, Montana where he graduated with honors with a bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences. He also played football where he earned All-American honors. Originally from Greeley, Colorado, Dr. Dowgin is excited to return to his home state.
