James Dowgin, O.D.

James Dowgin, O.D., graduated with distinction from Pacific University College of Optometry. During his education, Dr. Dowgin completed ocular disease management internships at Virginia Eye Consultants and the Spokane VA Medical Center, as well as a primary care internship at the Chemawa Indian Health Clinic and the Eye Center of Northern Colorado. While in school, Dr. Dowgin was the recipient of the Oregon Optometric Physicians’ Association Scholarship and the Drs. Dennis L. Smith and Nada J. Lingel Award for Excellence in Systemic Disease. He was also a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometry Honor Society. Dr. Dowgin also completed a residency in Ocular Disease with Omni Eye Specialists.

Dr. Dowgin attended Carroll College in Helena, Montana, where he graduated with honors with a bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences. Dr. Dowgin is originally from Greeley, CO. He enjoys going on adventures with his dog and fiancée. He is also a big sports fan.
