Dr. Thomas R. Cruse received his undergraduate degree in Chemistry from St. Olaf College in Minnesota, and his Doctor of Optometry degree from Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. He was the recipient of the Lawrence P. Feignebaum Clinical Optometry Memorial Award as the top clinician in his graduating class. He has been a member of the Colorado Optometric Association since 2010, serving as a lead legislative keyperson for improvement of laws and relationships between elected officials and optometrists. Dr. Cruse is also the current Chair of COA Young Professionals Committee involving and engaging young optometrists in the community. He completed a residency at Omni Eye Specialists and Spivack Vision Center in Denver. While at Omni Eye Specialists, Dr. Cruse received extensive training in advanced diagnostic techniques and medical management of anterior and posterior segment eye disorders and laser vision correction. He also lectures regularly, providing professional continuing education credit for fellow optometrists.
Dr. Cruse enjoys spending time with his wife and participating in outdoor sports.
