Genuine Harley-Davidson 175cc Scat. NOT Aermacchi Italian. One of the last U.S.-built H-D lightweight models.
This is a two-stroke, magneto engine as original from The Motor Company!
Original paint. Original Tillotson carb. Original seat (though it has been recovered in leather instead of original vinyl). Comes with optional large rear sprocket for trail riding.
Here are the changes: In 1966, a rack was added and in doing so, the muffler had to be changed. That's it! Everything else is original to the motorcycle including the Goodyear Grasshopper front tire. Both front and rear tires are in great shape!
Only 1475 original miles! Everything works!

This motorcycle is an excellent canidate for a full restoration or an old school bobber. The heads were removed to inspect the internals, one exhaust valve is stuck open from sitting, but the cylinders look good and I believe it should run with little work. Harley fenders were bobbed and added many years ago. Seat is missing, all other parts look good, (other than the rust and crud), the bike hasn't been cleaned or ridden in 26 years. It has a zip spark plug, schebler carb, a herz mag, oiler, drive pulley, and the block is complete. Some of the fins are damaged as are a couple of the motor mount ears. it looks to hold oil and the motor turns over ok. I have not cleaned it up at all yet. I was thinking of selling on ebay, but figured Id ask around first. Don’t know what its worth yet.

All internals are original Stewart Warner (NO car parts). The face is silverplated, like in the old days! (and not as often seen painted). The face is "white" but will turn into silver through the years. If wanted the face can be polished into silver, that's why the glass and besel are not on.
Ofcourse it is calibrated and works perfectly. If you want I can mail pictures of the speedo on a rpm machine!
