
George J. Pardos, M.D.

George J. Pardos, M.D., CEO of Madison Street Company®, received his medical degree from Yale University School of Medicine. He completed his residency training in ophthalmology at the Barnes Hospital of Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri. After completing residency, he received an additional year of training in corneal surgery at the University of Iowa in Iowa City.
Upon completion of his fellowship, Dr. Pardos became an assistant professor of ophthalmology at Mt. Sinai Medical School at the City University of New York. While in New York, he was the medical director of New York's largest eye bank and a member of the advisory board of the National Eye Bank Association.
Dr. Pardos came to Denver in 1982 to work in a multispecialty clinic. In 1986, Dr. Pardos, along with Dr. Prouty, founded Omni Eye Specialists. In 2000, Madison Street Surgical Center, Colorado Laser Surgeons and Madison Street Financial Services were established as sister companies of Omni Eye Specialists. In 2004, Madison Street Company® was formed which became the first 100 percent employee owned integrated ophthalmic practice in the nation, and included the Omni Eye Specialists, Madison Street Surgical Center, Colorado Laser Surgeons, Madison Street Financial Services and Spivack Vision Center, who joined the group in 2008.
Dr. Pardos is board certified and a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, a member of the Castroviejo Society, which is composed solely of corneal surgeons, as well as various other medical societies. He is a recognized expert in the field of cataract, refractive and corneal surgery and disease. He has presented numerous medical papers and has authored several published reports in major ophthalmic journals.
